The 3-Eleven applied the 2-Eleven formula to the V6 platform. Launched at the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed, it put the supercharged 3.5-litre engine in an open body made of a new lightweight composite, with 410 bhp in the Road version and 460 bhp in the Race version.

Production was limited to 311 cars. The later 430 edition raised the road car to 430 bhp. It was, for a time, the fastest production Lotus around the Hethel test track.

On a road trip

As with the 2-Eleven, touring is possible in the Road version but it is an event rather than a habit. The V6's torque makes it far less frantic than its predecessor.
